BOAL Group, a high-end manufacturer of greenhouse and solar solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Edwin van den Berg as its new Chief Executive Officer effective May 1st. Van den Berg will be taking over from Adri Pols, who has decided to step down after a commendable tenure.
Van den Berg brings to BOAL Group a rich background with extensive experience in the manufacturing and construction sectors. After earning his degree in Technical Business Administration from Eindhoven University of Technology, Van den Berg built a notable career primarily in the construction industry. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Outdoor Life Group NV, a Parcom portfolio company that specialises in production and distribution of garden wood and garden sheds.

Since Pols joined BOAL Group in January 2021, the introduction of a new vision and the implementation of the underlying strategy laid the foundation for future growth and success. An example is the integration of the various acquisitions into the BOAL Group as part of the buy and build strategy. The diversification into the solar industry and the recent establishment of a foothold in China provide significant additional resilience for the Group. And BOAL's commitment to sustainable practices has yielded impressive results, securing the company a top 1% ESG rating by Morningstar Sustainalytics for two years running.
